Kiwi Can

Today we had our first lesson of kiwi can with miss mac this was our first lesson for term 3 . We had a new topic which was Resilience ,  resilience means bouncing back . After we talked about what resilience ment we played an energiser called silent disco , we got split into groups of 3 and we had to pick an emotion and had to act that emotion the people in my group were Angelica & Alayah and our emotion was happy . We ended up laughing , after that we had to sit down and talk about what some emotions mean . Then we played again but in a different way which was when one person had to have headphones on and everyone else had to act one emotion and then the person with the headphones on had to guess the emotion that we were acting .

Inquiry

This week for inquiry with miss anderson we have to blog everything that we have finished for the past couple weeks .My group so far has finished all 3 of our tasks they were titled as earth & beyond , planets jigsaw and planet translation .  

My Constellation

LI: To use skimming ,scanning and summarizing .

This week for reading we are learning how to make constellations . We had to use our reading skills we have been learning about through the past few weeks , the reading skills were skimming , scanning and summarising . We made our constellation out of skewers and marshmallows . The constellation i did was aries ,for this activaty making a constellation we had to get into partners , my partner was Christian and together we made our constellation . We also had to find the brightest star in our constellation along with information about it and all the stars in our consellation .

Today i decided to read a book its called we've got your number its a non fiction book which means it has true facts , this book talks about numbers and mathematics .

LI: to recap learning from the term 

This Morning LS1 Group B had our last session of kiwi can for term 2 , we got to chose what games we wanted to play we had played to games in the 45 minutes we were given the games we played were go home stay home and octopus. we played go home stay home in the whale .  before we played these games we had to recap on what we had learned through the term and some of the students in LS1 even remembered our catch phrases .

Maori | He Pai Ki Ahau

This morning LS1 group B had maori and we had to talk about our favorite food . At first miss whea odie our maori teacher she gave us a word search and we had to find the words that were on the word search . everyone finished the word search so after that we had to make a poster about our favorite foods or things we like eating . i listed my favourite lollies .
