Commenting


This week for commenting I commented on Liletina's blogpost about swimming . Not just her blurb but her blogpost told me alot of things about her lesson in swimming .her blogpost also tells me when she went ( Thursday ) She told me why she went ( to get better ate swimming ) She told me who went ( almost the hole class ) She told me what happened ( what they did ) she told me where they went swimming ( lagoon pool ) and she told me much more to see more click here . 

Multiplication


This week I practiced my Times tables using Math Monster. I really like using this timetable game to help me get better at my times tables . I practiced my 2s Times tables first because I thought that it will be easier .This did help my times tables get better because it corrects you and at the end it will tell you what times table you will need to practise . 

Hand Writting


This week for keyboarding drills I went on Dancing mat the game . This game helps you get your writing get faster . it also tells you were you should position your fingers . After that it will give you a word to write down and then you will have to try and write that word with your fingers positioned where the game told you where to position them .

The area of Rectangles .

This week for maths we are learning about the area of rectangles .
We had to do this activaty in our maths papper then we had to draw a composite rectangle . If you do not no what composite means it means having the same shape but different length . We also had to write down the area using our 3 or 4 times table . 

Traffic light,roundabout,Pedestrian Crossing


This week for inquiry we are learning about structures and other things . For Mr ogilvies groups this week we are learning about Traffic lights  , roundabouts ,  and Pedestrian crossings . The first thing we did was get into a group of three my group was a group of 4 because 1 person was away so that person had to be in our group . The people in our group was me angelica , Zepplin , and Sulia . The reason why we had to get into a group of 4 was because each one of us had to do one out of  Traffic lights  , roundabouts ,  and Pedestrian crossings  but since Sulia was not at school Zepplin did what Sulia was supost to do .

This week forreading we are learning about Myths , legends and faire tayles .
Last week we got into buddys so this week we didn't . We had to chose articles to do from our ls1 class site . Here they are .We also had to make reading notes to pridict , ask questions , summarise visulise and much more . Here are the articles at the bottom . But for our Must do we had to make a DLO talking about the summary who they are and we also had to find questions then answer them .

Persuasive Writting


This week for writting we are learning about Persuasive Writting because last week we were doing procedural writting . For this we had to get this from our LS1 class site at panmure bridge and we had to find what was the right thing , for an example if it was a simple present ( infinitive tense ) that had to be high lighte in yellow and it there was the emotive words \ devices it had to be high lighted in red . and the Structure that we used to help us with this Persuasive writting we used OREO .

Snag golf


Image result for snag golfThis week for snag golf we had to make our own golf course , using hola hoops , cones a target chart and a flag thing . But first we had to get into a group of 3 . My group was a group of 4 with ellenora , sila , Miiana and me . We had to make sure our legs were pointing out , We had to make sure that we tik toked like a clock and we also had to go perpendicular with our golf stick .  ( before we got into our group we talked about what we should do when we are trying to get a snag like going perpendicular .

kiwi Can


LI: to Solve Problems .

This week for Kiwi can we learned about solving problems . Miss Lilly asked us what would you do if you were stuck on something I said I would ask my family and siblings for help or i would ask a teacher or a Friend .  The first thing we did was we walked into room 7 and made a circle . Then we played the game Hoop de hoop . To play this game Miss lilly slit us into groups of 2 groups and spreaded hoola hoops around room 7 to kinda make a circle . Then 1 person from each group had to run across to the other side and if they met up then they will have to play papper siezers rock to see who wins then that repeats over and over again untill everyone has had a turn . Then we played dodge ball . 

Sunset Silhouette


This week we had inquiry . For inquiry we did  a Sunset Silhouette . We had to put our peiece of papper on a black papper . First we had to make a Cityscrapper Digital and then our Teacher Mr Wong perinted them out and Cut them out so that we could put them on our papper . First we had to Find a picture of a sunset and look for the shapes and then we had to put them on a piece of papper . (use a coloured papper as a backgroung ) ( free Choice ) And we also had to share the coloured papper with people so that it doesn't go to waste . On my papper I have a sun , a Rectangle and a triangle because those were the images that I saw . But also you will need to put glue stick on your background coloured papper so that it could stick onto the black papper . Then you need to cut out shapes that you see then glue stick it on and put it onto the background coloured papper .

Commenting

This week I commented on Liletina's Blog post about her narrative planner . It was a really good blogpost and it her Learning intention was to write a narrative so now I know that they were trying to write a narrative . I really like her blurb and i also like how she told me what her narrative was about .

The Area of Golf Courses


LI: To calculate the area of shapes using Multiplication and addition . 

This week we are learning about the area of things . Last week we did just turning weird shapes into rectangles this week we did the area of Golf courses . We also had to use addition and Multiplication to find out the area of the shapes \ boxes . This was really tricky for me but some of them were a little bit easy . I learned How to tell the area by using Addition and Multiplication . My favourite thing about this is that you can get better at talking about the area of things.

Procedural Writing


This week for Writing we are learning about Procedural writing and procedural texts .We had to make a procedural text by making a 3d shape .

If you Do not Know What Procedural Means :

Procedural means an official way of doing something .


we also had a planner and we had to write down the steps to make something with tooth picks and blu - tack .The thing I made was a cube to find out the steps click here .  This is really easy and it is really fun in some ways . In our planner we had to put images inside our planner so that other people can see what the finished thing looks like at the end . The thing that I needed to do the most was probally watch someone else do it and probally practise . Inside our Planner we had to take a photo on each step and then write down something basic to go with the step . 


LI: To write a procedural Text . 

Snaggolf

This week we had Snag golf for kiwi sport we also had swimming for Kiwi Sport . Yesterday we had our snag golf with Mr Wong and he showed us an example of how we should be doing our snag golf . We had to be doing our Golf Perpendicular . We also had to make sure that our hand were going like tic toc like a clock to get a snag .  The first thing we had to do what get into a group of 3 The people that was in my group were Sulia me and Sandra . We came first place because Mr Wong said whoever gets the lowest score whens then so  we won because my group kept on getting a snag witch was a one .we had our Kiwi Sport inside our hall because it was raining.

Pier Foundation


This week for inquiry we are learning about all the different types of  foundations .But the first thing we had to do was we had to get into a group of 3 . My group is a group of 4 because 1 person was away so that person had too be in my group . The people in my group are Zeppelin , Sulia , Me and Angelica . We found the meaning of foundation and we also found out lots of facts and things about the pier foundation . We also had to try and make our own images about the Pier foundation .We made the images to discribe what pier the foundation looked like . (the title is first number 1  ) If you do not no what foundation means skip to slide 2 , To find the definition of Pier skip to slide 3 , To find facts about pier skip to slide 4 , To look at an image on our group slide skip to number 5 and to find out what piers can do skip to slide number 6 .

Mahishasura and Durga .


LI: to identify the underlying morals/themes/explanations in myths, legends, and fairy tales.Today for Reading We had to learn about Myths, Legends and fairy tales. On the class site. There was four different stories we could choose from But I choose Mahishasura and Durga. I picked this because it looked really interesting. I had to pick a partner, I choose Liane. In this slide it tells you more information about what happens. There is also questions in this slide that I questioning about this story and the character.  I learnt that Mahishasura wanted to root the world.

Kiwi Can


This week for kiwi can we played to activates .
One of the activates we had to hold eachothers hands and then we had to try and get inside a circle but we had to be tangled at first this was hard for me but then i kind of got the hang of it . The Next game we played was called dodge ball . The first thing we had to do was get into a circle and then Mrs Lilly our Kiwi Can teacher numbered us from 5 and then if  she called out your number then you will have to stand up inside the middle and Mr matt will have to roll the ball and then you will have to try to dodge it . Today our Behaviour was really bad but hopefully we do good next week . I think that i need to focus on my behaviour my respect and my attitude and i will also need to listen to our kiwi can leaders .

Sky Tower Trip




This week LS1 and LS2 went to sky city . The sky Tower is made in New Zealand . It was made for people to Comunicate from somewhere else . The Sky Tower shows lights when it is a New Year , Christmas , Chinese New year , And mothers day . The tower bridge is 328 Metres Long .The sky Tower was made on the 3rd of August 1997 . We went to Number 51 and 45 . 51 had the glass floor and we could step on the glass bit I was really scared to but i still did it . and number 45 is the room where if there is a fire in one of the rooms you can go to the number 45 and you will be safe . Inside that room they have first aid kits food lolies and activaties . The cost of the Sky city tower is 75 million dollars (in New Zealand Dollars ) . Inside the  sky Tower there is 2 resturants .

LI: Was to stick together and not wonder around to different places .

Multiplication and Division



This week we did Multiple and division using the app maths monster . This appis really good if you don't no all of your must dos . My favourite thing about this game is that it telld you at the end what times table you need to focus on .My other favourite thing about the game is that you can choose what timestable you want to practise tthe times tables on this app goes up to your 10 timestables . 


Keyboarding



This week I decided to practise my writing using Dancing Map .
This really helps my writing get faster.
This writing game is a good game to play if your writing is not that good . My favourite thing about this game is that it tells you where your fingers go and then it will write down a word and then you have to type the word while your fingers are still in the place that where that game told you to put your fingers .

The Area of Rectangles


LI : To calculate the area of shapes using Multiplication and addition . 

This week for Mr Wongs maths we are learning about the area of rectangles . we had a paper and we had to split them into a rectangle . We also had to measure the sides of the rectangle . We had to write down the area of the rectangle as well . This was tricky for me but it was good to try something new . We had to measure using Centi Metres . My favourite part about this is that you can make more that 1 Rectangle using i shape .

Maui and the Sun .

We had to make a Degital learning object talking about the purpose behind this story who maui is and a summary .

Maui is a stickstar and also a demi god . He got his hook off a real demigod .

This week for Writting we are learning about Procedural writting .
we had to talk about the language features and the structure of a procedural writting . We mostly talked and learned about TEMPS . TEMPS Stand for Title , Ending Resoult , Materials list , pictures and steps . Our Question From MR wong was what Does Procedural mean ? Procedural is a noun and adjestive it means Realting to an official way of doing something .

Bridges


This week for Inquiry we are learning about bridges . First we had to make a google maps from our google drive . then we had to find 10 maps around the world or just in New Zealand . the bridges I Chose was The Te Rewa Rewa Bridge , the Manhattan Bridge , the Clifton Suspension Bridge , the Tower Bridge , The Russky Bridge , The Brooklyn Bridge , the Charles bridge the auckland Harbour Bridge . We also had to try and find the cost of the bridge when it was made we had to find what material was used to make the bridge and we also had to
