Basic Facts Boxes

This week I did Basic facts boxes This was made by my teacher Mr wong this was used for maths .This basically has addition and division questions and if you get it right then it will correct you and if you get it wrong then  under nether of the number will say wrong and thats my favourite thing about using Basic Facts Boxes . This was not hard but this was not easy for me . 

Dialogue

LI: To Create A Dialogue using a messaging app . 

This week we had another session of writting and we had to make a dialogue linking to the story that someone from our group had made . So baiscally there was this fake messaging site and we had to chose a partner to message my partner was afatia but she was playing the grinch and i was messaging afatia and i am mother christmas so basically our story has a character called Mother Christmas and she steals christmas and the grinch stops stealing christmas and is now nice . so basically what mother christmas thinks is the grinch will help her steal presents from kids but instead the grinch finds a way to persuae mother christmas and make her stop by recomending that she should stop making kids suffer and stop taking things thats not yours . 

Maori

Today we had our first lesson of maori term 2 with miss Whea Odie .
At first we Miss Whea Odie Read us a book .
Then after that we had to get our chrome books and go on google maps and search up Kaimani , Waimpou river , Maungatapu ,And Hoiriri .
After that we had to make a pepeha about yourself.

Statistics

LI\Learning Intention ;
To Learn something about the class or our school using Statistics .

This week we had another session of maths for Mr wongs Groups and thru the last few weeks we
have been learning about statistics and also have been learning about is how to make data . At first to make our data ls1 went around ls1 and asked room 5 what were there favourite places to sit were , but before that we had to split our school into zones from 1 to 5 or from 5 to 10 zones . Then Today We presented our work to the class to see where is the most popular place to sit and rest in school.

What Information Or Skill Did You Learn ?
The Skill That i learned was how to present my work and my graph to half of LS1 .

How did You Learn This ? 
I Learned this by trying to be confident while i was presenting my work .

Reading Strategies

LI: To identify the different strategies we use as readers .
This week for reading Mr Ogilvies reading groups have been looking at all of the different reading strategies .But then we got into our reading groups and then we chose a reading strategy to do and we had to make a poster on what this strategie and and how we can use this Strategie . But at first we played a game of GKQ ( General Knowledge Question ) and whoever got the question right got to pick a reading strategy to do . The strategy's that my group chose were Activating Prior Knowlede and Self Monitoring . So basically how this order worked was some people in our group would all do the same people and the other people would all make the other poster together .

SSR Selfie

This week we did SSR selfie and on the ssr selfie we have to upload a photo of a book and talk about what the book is about . The book i used was ABC With Honora lee . This book is mostly just talks about bees and why ABC Is important to know if you would like to know what the book is about you can read it .It also shows pictures on what letters and words look like .

Steam Punk Art

This week we learnt about steam punk art with LS2 We had tomake a design ok something using mechanical things with our design . Here is my design that I made .
