LI: To use key vocab to unlock sentence & text structure.

This week, our task was to write an explanation of how and why LS1 Learns, Creates and Shares. We also had to write a procedure including instructions step by step how LS1 learns, create and share. An explanation tells how and/or why something happens. A procedure is a text explaining how to do something. We had to do this in pairs. But i was absent so i wasnt able to finish this task .

Imaginative Recount

LI\Learning Intention:
To Write and Imaginative recount .

This week Mr Ogilvie's Groups had another session of writing and we had to make a Imaginative recount retelling the story Little Red Riding Hood . But at first we had to find a partner to retelle the story with my partner was Lukah & Texas , we made a group of 3 because Texas Missed out on the work we were doing .

What Skill or Information Did You Learn ? 
The Skill That I Learned Was How To Retell Little Red Ridding Hood And The Other Skill That I Learned was how to tell the wolfs perspective .

What Did You Learn ? 
I Learned how to retell the story Little Red Ridding Hood .

Imaginitive Recount

LI:To Write An Imaginitive Recount Retelling The Story Called Little Red Ridding Hood .

This week ls1 had another session of writting for mr ogilvies writting groups  . We had to retell the story little red riding hood but it had to be different from the original story . We had to retell the story in groups \ partners and we had to use TREE , which means , Title , Reveal , Events & Ending . The people in my group were Texas & Lukah We were a group of 3 .

Narrative

This week for writting we had to write a narrative using our nine tenses that we have been learning about the last few weeks . My narrative was about a journalist called john and he finds a secret city that he was born in , Do you think he could remember if something good or bad happened inside of the city ? The name of the city is called devil city . I got the idea of this narrative buy using the schoolastic story starters . This was really helpful for me to find an idea of what to do and this also lets you write a fake passport , post card , newpapper and more to get an idea of what to write about

Perfect Tenses

LI: To identify Verb Tenses .

What Did You Learn ? I learned how to Tell what Present perfect , Future Oerfect and what Past perfect Meant . 

How Did You Learn ? I learned this by Working together with the people inside of my group and I also learned this by using digital things . 

This week for writting we are learning about perfect tenses . We had to do the same thing we did last week but we used perfect tenses instead of verb tenses . We had tomake this DLO In partners i was a group of three because someone missed out on doing perfect tenses so that person wanted to be in my group so she came in my group .

But anyway The people inside of my group are Angelica , Me & Alice .
At first we had to find 20 new verbs that were different from last week To see all the verbs that I used look at my DLO That I created with Alice & Angelica . We only had to make 7 videos to go with the verb  . We also had to inflect all of the verbs into 3 tenses what we have already learned .
 Present Perfect : Present perfect uses the have been inside of a verb , tense or a sentence . 
Future Perfect : Future perfect uses Wil have inside of a verb , tense or a sentence .
And Past Perfect uses had been inside of a verb , tense or a sentence . 

Tenses

LI: To Identify Verb Tenses .
This week for writting we are learning about continuous past ,simple past tense and continuous future tense. To make this DLO we had to get into partners with someone that is not in your group the person that i was with is Chris & Moijtaba . we done the same must do last week but we had to have different partners and different verbs\Tenses . We also had to make a video or a picture .but this time we made 7 videos instead of 20 because we had 20 verbs . ( We made this using google slides )

Verb Tenses

This week for writting we had to make a google slide presentation and had to make a video of the verb that was chosen by your partner or you guys chose it together . I was absent so I am not sure what we were doing but I asume we were doing this . You also had to choose a partner to help you make this DLO .Their had to be atleast 20 examples made with you and your partner . We had to rather make a video or add a photo of yourself or your partner doing the verb \ expression . Inside of the DLO you had to say the word that was used in the past , future and present .

Paragraph Structure

In T4W2 our activaty was to put the bad paragraph in order and change it and make it make sence . The first paragraph that we did was with Mr wong , each group go to do the first one with him but the groups had to be in the rotation and thats how every group got to see Mr wong and thats also how most people got it finished .

Evaluating

On T3W4 Mr Wongs writing groups were learning about evaluating . We also had to get into small groups and use the Panmure Bridge Rubric .  Then we had to swap our chromebooks with someone inside of your group to see the new piece of writting .

Emotive language

This week for writting we are learning about emotive language . The main thing inside of a emotive sentince or an emotive story there is Adjectives verbs , nouns and adverbs . I learned what emotive language was emotive language is basically expressing the way you feel .For this Mr wongs writting groups had to make aposter explaining what emotive language is and what its used for  . 

LI: To write informative but emotive paragraphs . 

Hand Writting

This week for keyboarding drills I went on Dancing mat the game . This game helps you get your writing get faster . it also tells you were you should position your fingers . After that it will give you a word to write down and then you will have to try and write that word with your fingers positioned where the game told you where to position them .

Persuasive Writting

This week for writting we are learning about Persuasive Writting because last week we were doing procedural writting . For this we had to get this from our LS1 class site at panmure bridge and we had to find what was the right thing , for an example if it was a simple present ( infinitive tense ) that had to be high lighte in yellow and it there was the emotive words \ devices it had to be high lighted in red . and the Structure that we used to help us with this Persuasive writting we used OREO .

Procedural Writing

This week for Writing we are learning about Procedural writing and procedural texts .We had to make a procedural text by making a 3d shape .

If you Do not Know What Procedural Means :

Procedural means an official way of doing something .

we also had a planner and we had to write down the steps to make something with tooth picks and blu - tack .The thing I made was a cube to find out the steps click here .  This is really easy and it is really fun in some ways . In our planner we had to put images inside our planner so that other people can see what the finished thing looks like at the end . The thing that I needed to do the most was probally watch someone else do it and probally practise . Inside our Planner we had to take a photo on each step and then write down something basic to go with the step .

Keyboarding

This week I decided to practise my writing using Dancing Map .
This really helps my writing get faster.
This writing game is a good game to play if your writing is not that good . My favourite thing about this game is that it tells you where your fingers go and then it will write down a word and then you have to type the word while your fingers are still in the place that where that game told you to put your fingers .

Procedural Writting

This week for Writting we are learning about Procedural writting .
we had to talk about the language features and the structure of a procedural writting . We mostly talked and learned about TEMPS . TEMPS Stand for Title , Ending Resoult , Materials list , pictures and steps . Our Question From MR wong was what Does Procedural mean ? Procedural is a noun and adjestive it means Realting to an official way of doing something .

Narrative

This week for writting we learned about narratives and parodies . We had to get into a group of 3 and we had to make a narrative about our class mini olympics in term 1 .
we had to have a problem , solution , orientation a title and events .
the group people in my group is alice , and alayah . 

LI : To write a narrative for our school manaiakalani film Festival .
What Did you Learn ?  I Learned how to fix a problem .
How Did you Learn ? I learned this by working as a group . 

Explanation

What did you learn ? I learned how mantis shrimp punch and how to write a explanation . 

How did you Learn ? I learned this by using a conclusion , Explanation and an introduction  . 

LI : To write detailed Paragraphs . 

Yesterday we had writing and Me and mr wrongs writing groups had to write a pharagraph explanation . Mr wongs group had to do a paragraph explanation about venus fly trap I did an explanation about the mantis shrimp because I was not at school on monday .  

Puctuation .

Today for writting we learned about  Puctuation . 

This was not challenging but it was not easy niethier . 

We did this for writting I think that we are going to be learning about puctuation until next week . 

I learned how to know more about my puctuation . 

We learned this buy watching videos  about puctuation and full stops and others. 

I was buddys with Raera and she helped me with the posters.

Grammar cop

Today for Mr ogilvies writing groups we had to do Grammar cop.
I learned how to do Grammar cop this was actually kind of fun .
Also I learned this by the pronuceing the word and seeing if it makes sence and if it didn't i put it in side incorrect words .  

LI: To try hard and make sure that the words are actually incorrect words.
