Self Monitoring .

Today for reading we did self monitoring .
We had to read the article Adam hall wins gold at paralympic  winter games . We had to get into with a buddy in Mr Wongs groups for reading and we had to buddy up with someone that is in another but reading the same article . 

We also had to find out the word's we did not know and had to write them inside this google doc .

This was kind of challenging for me because I understand most of the words in the article I was reading . But it was very challenging for because Mr Wongs Reading Groups have never did this before .

This was kind of a challenge for me becuase we had to write up a word that we don't understand and then write up a strategy how you did it .
LI: To self Monitor our understanding of a text . 

Kiwi Can .

Today we went to kiwi can . we played 2 games \ energiser . 

The first game we played was could 21 . we played this game with a ball and you kind of needed a lot of people and you need to make a circle and you need to pass the ball on to the person next to . then we played it a different way so this way was similar to  other one but with this one you are aloud to pass it back to the same person but you can not keep on doing it the same time and also if you get to 21 you have to sit down . Then if you are the last group of people you have to take 2 steps in and keep playing until it got up to 1 person . 

Then we played the game guess the emotion . 

We played a like this so Mr matt our kiwi can teacher will write an emotion on the board and we had to get into 4 lines at first and then it went the 1st person then the second and over and over again until you were the last person . some of the emotions we played were jealous , happy , sad , Depressed and others . 

What Did you learn ? I learned how to play a game that I have never played before and this game is could Guess the Emotion . 

How did you Learn ? I learned this by listening to Mr matt and Mrs Liily .

Filing Folders .

Today for cybersmart my hole class had to clean out our drive so that you do not have a floaty drive with all different things inside of it . This was kind of challenging for me because I did had lots of things inside of my drive but I still cleaned out my drive . 

I cleaned out my drive so that it is easyer for me so that when I make a new google draw or something else I can just click this button on the corner and just put it inside any folder like Reading , Writting ,Maths or Inqury . Today since we had to clean out our drive it was challenging but it was worth doing it . At first we did have to put it in the right folder but that was easy and we had to do this by draging our mouse on our computer and putting it in the right place .  I Think this is good to do because if you need to find something you can just look in one folder and it will be in that folder instead of just looking all over the place in your drive . Also If you orginise your things in the right place you do not have to be inbarrested like if a teacher trys to find something in you'r drive you'r teacher might not find it .

Duffy Assembly .

Today we went to a Duffy Assembly inside of the hall .
What did you learn ? I learned some  reasons why is is good to read and i also Learned that Matt was a rugby played for the blues and taylor use to ride a BMX bike .
Taylor almost won but the bell didn't ring so that means that she didn't get it but she still tried.

LI:To write about the Duffy assembly also Matt and Taylor . . 

Commenting .

Today for commenting today i commented on alayah's kiwi sport .
This was not that challenging because it was kind of easy and kind of hard .
I learned how to comment on alayah 's blog post and write a proper one .

Find , Draw , Animate and Act .

Today for maths we did Find , Draw , Animate and Act .
This was really challenging for me and 1 of my friends but it was really easy to find images and put it on my slide .
I learned this by finding images and making a copy of this on my maths class site .
I learned how to do my Find , Draw , Animate and Act ..

Kiwi Sport .

today for kiwi sport we did lots of pitching . everyone had 2 turns like 1 group pitching 1 group batting and then we had to twitch over .
This was sadly our last week of kiwi sport with Ashley but its okay i will still live .
It was very fun today . their was not alot of cheering because most the loud people wern't at school but it still made it even better . 

LI: Was to try and bat without using a T to bat with us .

Grammar cop

Today for Mr ogilvies writing groups we had to do Grammar cop.
I learned how to do Grammar cop this was actually kind of fun .
Also I learned this by the pronuceing the word and seeing if it makes sence and if it didn't i put it in side incorrect words .  

LI: To try hard and make sure that the words are actually incorrect words.

Cybersmart skills.

Today for cyberstart we learned about cybersmart skills .And also all the keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl + c and like Ctrl + v . I learned Device skills.We were learning about shortcuts on the keyboard.For Ctrl X is to cut the words out of the box and Ctrl a is to select all of the text.We had to get a partner to work with and the partner has to be a year 5.

Kiwi Can

Today for kiwi can we played games and this one is could 21 .
You basically get in a circle and u use a ball and throw it to each other counting up to 21 and if your the number 21 your out . then when it comes to the last 5 people they take 1 step and start again the winner when we played this game was mr Matt our kiwi can teacher .

After that we had to get into a circle and we had to say who is our role model like our Mum,dad, Sisters or even famous people , almost everyone had a turn but some people were a little shy to say it but it ok . This was really fun for me because I got to play games and also meet a new kiwi can teacher Mr Latu .
And also today we had a new kiwi can teacher could Mr Latu and he was just like watching and he also showed us a video of Mr Matt singing because he is very interested in Music and musicians . We also learned how to be a role model .

Self Monitoring .

Today for reading Mr Wongs reading groups we learned about self monitoring . We had to find information like what does Self Monitoring? and What is it . We also read the book could flying fungi for an example . This was very challenging for me but I still got it finished because this was a little bit easy . I learned this by reading the book could Flying fungi and finding words i don't no and trying to find out what it means .

Motto's

Today we had inquiry and we had to do mottos. we had to do it as a group the people in my group are Raera , Alayah , Sulia Afatia and me . this was really cool for me because i got to find out famous brands and their mottos . I found this kind of challenging because it was kind of hard to find images and also find their mottos. This was very cool to do and i really like working as a team because we all worked together .

LI: To identify personal qualities that contibute to a sense of selth worth .

Kiwi Sport

Today for kiwi sport we played softball.For softball today we had to get into groups.The coach ash will count 1 and 2 1 is to get a glove and 2 is to line up by the two cones.When we get the glove we have to be the fielders and the people that line up they have to hit the ball with the bat.When the people hit the bat we have to go and catch the ball when we get the ball we have to hit it on the base.If they hit it on the base they win and the person that was running has to go back in the line.Our coach was ash and she said that we will do pitching new with her next Wednesday.

Today for writting we did simple  sentences .
We had to put them in the correct order because the words were mixed .

What did you Learn ? I learned how to learn more about Simple sentences .

Team Logo

Today for inquiry we got into groups of 5s and our teacher Mr ogilvie told us to make a team logo .
Our team is could the L.A.R.A.S. . This is the names of everyone that is in our team . the names are Liane , Alayah , Raera , Afatia , and Sulia .

LI: Was to make a logo decribing everyone in our team .

What did you learn ? I learned how to make a team logo and also find out how to spell everyone in our teams name  .

How did you learn ? I learned this by using the first letter of the first letter of our name .

Making Predictions .

Today for reading we did predictions about the book \ story Picking up puha .

Kiwi Can

Today we had kiwi Can  . we played 2 games as our energizer 1 was could charades and the other 1was could paper seizers rock  .

the other game was charades and this game is how mrs lily and mr matt put us in groups of 3 and we had to pick someone one at a time and mrs lily had to tell them something to act and they had to act it without talking .

Our last game we played was paper seizers rock and we had to get into partners and had to verse each other and hoever wins gets to be the leader .
LI: Was to listen to all teachers and to make sure to be supportive .

What Did you Learn ? I learned how to play game's .

How Did you learn ? I learned this by trying to be a good rolmottel and listening to teachers when they are talking .

  Today for maths we had to answer questions and see if they were addition or subtraction.

Today for reading we learned about activating prior knowledge about the census why we do it and why its good to do it .

Commenting .

Kiwi Sport

Today for kiwi sport we learnt how to pitch. The equipment that was included was softball and bases. The bases were called home bass,first bass,second bass and third bass. Our warm up was when we had to run around in a circle but also touching the basses. We split into 2 teams one person would have to run around and touch the bass with their feet and they would have to get around as fast as the could. When everyone finished the results were in. Unfortunately both teams had a tie. I was hoping my team won but not
Then the next one we were pitching and1 side had the people throwing and the other catching .
we had our teacher kate and she told us what to do and also before we threw the ball we had to make the letters L K and then flick our risk .

LI: Was to listen to Kate and  make sure follow the rules .

 Today we went to kiwi can we walked in and we played the game hamer and we had to get into a partner and prentend that our hands were the hamer .
then we haad to try and hamer our hand and if you miss then you then you have to sit by the wall .

LI: Was to listen to teachers at all time including Kiwi can .




The next game we played was copy me  .
so we had to get in 3 lines and Mr Ogilvie , Mrs Lilly and Mr Matt had to make up a little dance and 1 of the teachers had to tell 1 of the student and then 1 of the students and to pass it on until it was the last person .
What Did you Learn ? I learned how to play hamer and copy me .
How did you Learn ? I learned this by listening to the teachers .

This vs That .

LI: Was to try to find the difference of the of the olympics and Panmure bridge .
I learned how to find the difference of the olympics and my school  and i also learned how to say my school whakatauki . I learned this by the help of my buddy .
Also most of them a compared because half of them are about Panmure bridge and the other half is all about the olympics.
