Today Me and My Class had to go on the Summer Learning Journey site and find an article and make a Blog post about it .
On your blog tell us whether you would like to be in a Waka Ama race one day. Why or why not?
I Would Like to Because It looks Very Interesting so I would love to try it one day .

ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that you and your class completed one of the Summer Learning Journey activities. I love that you chose the bonus! I, too, would love to try Waka Ama. When I was a young girl I used to go canoeing with my dad. A canoe is a small waka that fits approximately 2-3 people. We used to take our canoe out on the lake and go for long paddles in the middle of the summer.
I really hope to get back to Canada one day so that I can teach my son, Aronui, how to paddle a canoe. In the meantime, I may take him for Waka Ama lessons. I hope that you get the chance to try Waka Ama one day soon :)

I think your reason to would you go on a waka ama race or not is very interesting and cool but I think next time you could add more information which will be very cool if you had did that.

Patrica I find the Waka Ama interesting because I have never seen people Do a Waka Ama race in real life .
